THE BIRCH AND THE STAR
A Traditional Finnish Story
The children were separated from their parents and their home by the war in their homeland.
Soon the longing for their parents and their homeland grew so strong that it made them flee their foster home.
The birds, which were the children's guardian angels, showed them the way to their childhood home.
The siblings rowed across lakes and wandered over mountains.
When the siblings saw the birch and the star they understood that they had found their way back home.
At last they got to see their father and mother again. They were all so happy to be together again!
